This Privacy Policy describes how Nirvanae (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal and engagement data when you use the Nirvanae platform, including the mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. What Information We Collect

We may collect:

A. Account & Profile Information

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Age / Date of birth
  • Location (coarse)
  • Profile preferences, bio, photos

B. Behavioral Data

  • Interaction histories (likes, posts, boosts, stars, emotes)
  • Challenge participation
  • Feature usage patterns
  • Device identifiers, operating system, IP address

C. Psychometric & AI Input Data

  • User-generated reflection responses
  • Compatibility input data
  • Emotional patterns used by Marc AI

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your data to train third-party AI models
  • Track you across external applications without your consent

You can view or delete any of your reflection or emotional data at any time from your account settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Personalize your experience
  • Enable and improve Marc AI features
  • Provide matchmaking and compatibility insights
  • Support moderation, trust, and safety functions
  • Fulfill subscription and billing services
  • Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and unsafe behavior

We never use your data in ways that violate your privacy expectations.

3. Virtual Credits & Engagement Metrics

A. Coins (In-App Credits)

Coins are virtual credits purchased through in-app payment systems or payment providers. Coins:

  • Have no cash value
  • Cannot be redeemed for money
  • Cannot be transferred between users
  • Are stored in your account for in-app use (e.g., boosts, stars, emotes)

B. Gems (Community Engagement Metric)

Gems are earned metrics based on community engagement you receive (for instance, stars and emotes). Gems:

  • Have no monetary value
  • Are not transferable
  • Are only used as an internal engagement metric

Both Coins and Gems are explained further in our Terms of Service.

4. Creator Rewards Program

The Service may offer a Creator Rewards Program for eligible users who meet engagement and community standards.

  • Participation is optional and subject to eligibility
  • Rewards are not guaranteed
  • Rewards are administered outside the core virtual credits system
  • This program does not create a right to income
  • We may modify or discontinue this program at any time without prior notice

Your participation in any reward program is separate from how Coins and Gems function within the Service.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share data when necessary with:

  • Service providers (e.g., payment processors)
  • Law enforcement or regulators if required by law
  • Entities you explicitly consent to share with (optional, e.g., therapists)

Your data may be processed in regions outside your country (including GDPR-compliant jurisdictions).

6. Security

We use current industry standards to protect information, including:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate
  • Secure payment processing
  • AI moderation with human oversight

Despite protective measures, transmission over the internet has inherent risks.

7. Data Retention

We retain user data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Anonymous logs may be kept for product improvement but are not linked to identifiable individuals.

8. Children's Privacy

Nirvanae is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that personal data has been collected from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it.

You can:

  • Request access to your data
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Delete your personal data
  • Change your marketing preferences
